Update gibts seit kurzem hier

Leider ist das Update nicht vollständig. Ich hätte gerne mal die Netzwerk Software getestet und mir Patricks prämierte Show angesehen. Hat einer die neue CD da? Habe keine Lust auf 100$ für eine UpdateCD!

die Netzwerksoftware wird gemäss Angabe von Pangolin im Moment noch überarbeitet und befindet sich noch im Teststadium.
Gemäss Pangolin wird die Netzwerksoftware nicht zum allgemeinen Download angeboten, sondern nur im Rahmen der CD. Genauso ist es mit den neuen Shows.
Die aktuelle CD mit allen Shows ist um die 600 MB gross und bei den zu erwartenden hohen Downloadzahlen läuft Pangolin wohl der Traffic auf Ihrem Webserver ein wenig aus dem Rahmen.
Ich sollte im Verlaufe der nächsten Woche die Netzwerkergänzung bei mir haben und werde nach meinen ersten Tests hier berichten über den Umfang und die Funktionen.

Yes, the LD2000 version 2.30 update is available on the pangolin web site. But I take exception to your comment that it is "not complete". This update is complete in that new versions of all of the standard software applications, and even a new application is available for download. What is not available are the things that either would take a long time to download, or things that are used rarely.
This is explained better in another post on this forum, but basically as time runs, our software gets bigger. (Hopefully it gets better as it gets bigger...) We keep adding features and this adds to the file size. At the same time, we keep acquiring more frames and shows for distribution. These two things greatly complicate the process of making an update CD, much less an update file that will fit on the web site.
Right now, the Pangolin web site is 553MB, NOT INCLUDING THE UPDATE FILES!!! For those of you who are not familar with web sites, THIS IS A HUGE WEB SITE!! There are lots of bandwidth and file size constraints that we must contend with, and don't forget, we offer all of this to you basically for free!!
To hopefully balance all of these things, and yet still offer you great value, we are offering updates to all of the software as free downloadable versions on the web. But for all of the shows and the lesser-used things like networking, these are only available with the update CD.
The price of the update CD is quite reasonable, especially when you consider that it contains around 75 shows, over 118000 frames and around 11 free pieces of music. This would be a tremendous value at any cost. The base cost of an update CD is $30. The higher costs are to cover express overseas shipping.
