Scrolling Text in LIVE

Post by alexb » Mon 28 Jan, 2002 12:39 am

Yesterday I found out a possible bug in LD2000 LIVE ... or that I do not understand the software ;-)

The Problem was to display scrolling text within LIVE on different projection cones. Therefor I had to use two cards. On scanner 1 there was no problem at all but scanner 2 did not output anything, whether both scanners were selected nor scanner 2 alone.

Other scenes have been displayed correctly on both scanners.

What is your sugestion?

thx in advance, alex.

Hmmm. Let me look into this and get back to you.

Right off the top of my head, you might try setting the projection zones to Scanner 2. Maybe you have already tried this...

Hi Bill!

Of course I tried playing with projection zones. And scanner 2 worke perfectly with every thing but the scrolling-text implemet in LIVE. The workaround - putting single frames into a scene and projecting this scene as a handmade scrollingtext - worked right perfect on with the same zone-settings.

Looking forward to your solution / explanation, alex.

Hello Alexander,

Thank you for pointing that out. I looked into it and you were right, scrolling text did not work on any scanner except scanner 1. This was true of Autoplay as well.

I have fixed this problem in version 2.30 which is available on our web site right now.

Thanks again for pointing out this problem. We strive to create bug free software, but with so many options and possibilities, a bug will occasionally get by us. Thanks to user feedback, we can get the problems resolved quickly!

Best regards,
