LGN 7802 powersupply

Post by -rob- » Sun 23 Apr, 2006 11:48 am

Hello!

I have bought a LGN 7802 Argon laser powersupply, with a LASOS Argon laser head.
Problem is, I can not get the laser to laze. The power lamp on powersupply & laserhead is on, but none of the green LED's on powersupply lights up. Must some of the terminals on the X10 connector be shorted ?
Thanks

Hi Rob... It looks like the laser I recently aquired is identical to yours. And I have the same question as you do on how to actually get it to lase.
Anyone have any info on how to power up this combo?

Thanks.

You need to short pin 36 and pin 37 on connector X10. This is the interlock pins.

Thanks. I gave it a try, but it still wouldn't power up. Looks like my power supply has some issues. I noticed when I turned it on that the front mounted cooling fan did not spin, it just hums a bit. It seems to be locked up as I disconnected it and tried powering it directly and it still wouldn't spin. Got a pinout for the x10 connector from LASOS in email, but no schematic. Still, can't complain about having to work on it as it was a freebie!
