SP 265 Powersupply !
HI guys,
My Spectra Physics model-265 exiter is dead!!! Thanks to my dear brother $%$^$%^*e$%
He has forgotten to connect the stepdown-trafo between the 380V and the exiter so at least all 44 passbank-transistors are in heaven now.
Does anybody have an idea wat other parts could be damaged???
Thanx for your reactions,
Alwin (NL)
Re: SP 265 Powersupply !
suggestion:when it was only a short contact with 380V, then I think, the passbank will be the only damaged part in your ps!!you will have to repair the passbank and then look if its working! You should make a different plug to the exciter, that NOBODY can plug it to 380V power!!!
regards Libo
Re: SP 265 Powersupply !
Whow... that was a quick response!
The 380V abuse happened for one second.
I'll replace the passbank-transistors together with their fuses, install a US-type connector and hope that that would be it.
greetz
Alwin
