Recently, development on LDS from our friend Lennart has been slow because of a lack of time and commitment to his camera business. Similar to many of you, I have been an LDS user for several years now, and during that time problems and annoyances about the program built up into a list. There have been others that have begun fixing LDS (Dynamics) however this new version is only compatible with new Easylase controllers. After some deliberation, my company has decided to undertake new development of LDS 2011 in order to fix these annoyances and add exciting new features to the platform, while continuing to support all of the laser controllers currently available.

LDS 2011 will be a much improved version from past revisions. These improvements are designed to foster a community of show developers that enjoys show creation and is secure knowing that the shows they share or sell will only be used with as much or as little permissions as they allow.

Primary new developments in LDS 2011 include:

-Natural time line event editing including left click options for move and resize
-Reduced CPU use for smooth show playback
-Improved Expression interpretation for animation freaks
-Improved PicEdit frame creation scripting
-Improved scanner control center
-New show security options include complete 256bit file encryption
-Automatic loading of user interface settings
-ILDA and CAT export will be controlled with file-based permissions, not LDS license level.
-Direct time-line drag-and-drop ILDA file import
-Dongle-less license options
-LDS upgrades with your current dongle

Der besondere Murks entstand beim Wechsel zu RGB.(Könnte , sollte,möchte alles können aber nichts wirklich richtig)
Noch beschämender ist die Ladezeit von Shows.(Wie von Diskette nur das man die nicht wechselt)
Wird da nicht ein völlig neues LDS geschrieben , was nicht von alten Shows abhängig ist , könnte es klappen.
Abwärtskompatibel bleiben ist nur noch mehr Murks und eine Totgeburt.
Möge es da noch so tolle Software als Beigabe dazugeben.

Hallo

Es gab eine Geschichte im Jahre 2009 wo die LDS Programmierer ein wenig vom Programmautor verschaukelt wurden.
Das Ergebnis daraus war das fast alle LDS Showprogger die Plattform verlassen haben, ich persönlich eingeschlossen.
Jede Show die von mir z.B für den Vertrieb von LDS freigegeben wurde enthielt beim Transfer so einen Hinweis in der Mail.
Freigegeben für den Vertrieb mit LDS. Das heisst nicht das man diese Shows an jemand anders Verkaufen darf ohne
Zustimmung des Showprogrammierers. Genau das ist aber geschehen.

Deshalb gibt es von mir keine Hilfe bei der Erstellung eines Folgeprodukt und seitdem gebe ich auch nur wenig Support
in Richtung LDS. Die User können nix dafür und wenn es um Funktionallitäten geht, helfe ich denen natürlich trotzdem.
Aber eben kein Bugfixing mehr.

Selbst unterstütze ich nur noch LDS Dynamics und Phoenix, beide Softwareprodukte sind aus LDS heraus entstanden.
Bei beiden Produkten habe ich beim Bugfixing und einfügen von Funktionen geholfen. Tut mir jetzt leid für drlava
da ich mit ihm keine persönlichen Differenzen habe, aber in dieser Richtung werde ich nichts ändern.

Hallo Gento,
Already in the developer version many changes have been made and improvements implemented. File loading time is swift, faster than Phoenix and probably faster than what you are used to. Also, show running is up to 1/5 of the previous CPU usage of old LDS.

Norbert, which software you like and don't like is up to you, I hope that you enjoy creating with whichever software you choose to use. It is understandable that you may see this as "yet-another LDS", but our plan is to make this the best open-hardware LDS, and show-programmer friendly and secure. Maybe you will decide to give it a try, eventually.

Everyone else, thank you for your suggestions so far. Progress has been good and you can expect updates within a month. This LDS2011 will have a new name, so that it can be distinguished from the old LDS from Lennart. However, updates and sources to the updates for this new version will be available from me for OEM manufacturers who are interested in creating their own branded version of lasershow software.

The average price of LDS2010 at ebay.de was around 50-60 bucks for the pro version.
What´s the price for upgrading a product, which was not working as advertised and expected to the next version

I was not the one selling those questionable copies on ebay, if it is not working to your satisfaction, your first course of action should be to contact the original seller.
However, because new users are desired, upgrades are available through this new venture, if you are interested. Please PM for details.

Plötzlich, nachdem LDS Dynamics alle Wünsche der User unterstützt, Bugs so ziemlich ausgeschaltet sind, viele zusätzliche Funktionen mit Sinn vom Programmierer eingebaut wurden, da endlich besinnt sich Lennart sein "neues LDS 2011" bewerben zu lassen. Ich finde nach Jahrelangen Dahinsichen der Software, dem Dumpingverkauf von Pro Lizenzen auf EBay, dem nichtvorhandensein von Support und neuen Shows, den immerwieder unnützen Upgrades und den damit verbundenen Kosten für enttäuschte User, wird wohl kaum einer aus dem Forum auf diesen Zug aufspringen.
Ich selber habe noch eine 2008 und 2009 Lizenz. Ich benutze auch noch die Soft, aber nur im alten Zustand. Übrigens die 2009 Lizenz hätte ich abzugeben, Dongle und DVD mit der Soft, die 2008er behalte ich.
