Post by shrad » Thu 03 Dec, 2009 8:46 am

Well, the big advantage of US or Canadian Products is the high US$ - Euro conversion rate.
So products from America are cheap at the moment.
But unfortunately, we in Europe must pay for our life in Euro, not US$.
You have to add your VAT and customs to the price incl. shipping of 220,-$ (about 20%) which will give 264,-$

299,- Euro for EasyLase II is incl. VAT. This is with metal housing.
The "old" EasyLase 1 in the plastic box was 355,- incl. VAT (299,- excl. VAT).
More power and features for less cost.
You get 100Kpps, USB-powered or/and external powersupply, up to 6 channels colours, DMX-In and Out, a metal housing and full backward compatibility to "old" EasyLase 1.
And you can use our new software LDS Dynamics also if you want to do this in the future. :D

hi jojo

this is interesting, but for those like me who are on a budget, would the easylase version 1 still be manufactured and perhaps repriced to less than the version 2?

some people do not need more and more features, and for what I personnaly do, the easylase version 2 is a bit overkill... norm's DAC would still be cheaper and simpler for me if there is no other simpler usb alternative

The EasyLase 1 was more expensive in production than the much better EasyLase II is.
So we cannot produce this as a cheap alternative.

There is always "a cheaper DAC". I understand this.
We don't want to make the cheapest products, but the best possible products for the best possible price.

surely if I was to use it professionally, I'd buy the easylase 2, but when I consider the price versus use approach, norm's DAC is more appealing to me
