Hi,

which Scanners with which Drivers are we talking about ?
First, its good to see that your Drivers need to be Readjusted.
One of them is faster than the other.

Are Original Mirrors mounted ? Looks like the Mirrors swing.
Do you see this at all Scanspeeds or only at 12K, 22K for Example ?

Which Scanspeed did you use as you take the Photo ?

Perhaps there is some noise or high frequency hum on the Y-signal. This could originate from bad SMPS.

Hi,

SMPS = Swítching Mode Power Supply
Can the used Powersupplies deliver enought Power ?? Calculate >= 2.5A Minimum.
( I dont know the Driver you are using... )
Thickness of the Mirrors ? If the are too thin this could also be the Reason, normally only to see at some Speeds..

Please adjust Servogain / LF and HF Damping that the Circle is round and in the Middle of the inner Square.
Maybe the Driver is "overdriven" and so he beginns to swing .
@ 35-40Kpps. Which D/A Card are you using ?

Hi,

if you got the Drivers without any Manual you also got a little Problem :-)

Contact Cambridge and ask for the Manual as PDF.

If you never adjust a Scannerdriver before: HANDS OFF !!

As I adjust my first Scannerdriver without Help 4-6 Hours were gone..

Its also possible to destroy the Galvos with wrong adjustment.

On the first Look:

Scanner designed for larger Apertures and not usuable for Laserhows.
Normally theese Galvos are not so fast but very precise.

The Question about the Scanspeed you drive at the ILDA Testpictures is
never been answered..if it was 52K go down to 40K and re-adjust them..
