Einschicken QM2000 in die USA > Zollprobleme!

Hallo,

ich möchte mein QM2000 Board zu Pangolin einsenden.
William Benner hat vorgeschlagen es als "temporären Export zwecks Reparatur" zu deklarier - ich habe jedoch mit diesem Vorschlag bei Paketdiensten wie UPS oder FedEx Probleme, da sie keinen temporären Export durchführen können oder wollen.
Ich habe mich nun beim Zoll in Deutschland erkundigt: Die Formalitäten sind exorbitant! Es fallen Begriffe wie "passive Veredelung, Ausfuhrerklärungen und Proformer-Rechnung". Abgesehen davon kann man mir in Deutschland nichts über entstehenden Einfuhrgebühren in den USA sagen.

Meine Frage daher: Wer hatt schonmal ein Borad in die USA geschickt und entsprechend praktische Erfahrungen?

Hi John,

Great question and I am eager to hear the experiences from others on this laser forum.

From my own perspective, I an only tell you that we have received a fair number of boards from Germany, and we perform an update or repair and send them back with no problem. As far as I know, nobody has ever had to pay customs duties under these circumstances.

The idea is to declare the board "for temporary export -- being returned to the manufacturer for warranty repair". When you do this (successfully), there are no customs charges. Please note that we prefer Federal Express since we always ship that way ourselves. Often if you use the same carrier both ways, this can help ease the customs process.

Hi Bill,

because you told me about this way of returning before, I have tried to make it so, but most popular postage services like FedEx and UPS told me, that they cannot offer "temporary export" - does not matter which reason I give. So I tried to ask them about their way to do it. Both told me about enormous paper stuff and they cannot figure out the fees for US Import.

I asked one of your german dealers from whom I bought my QM2000 and he told me about the "easy way" you described. I will ask one other dealer and I will call up FedEx again - perhaphs I have only spoken to the wrong person.

sende die Karte deklariert als "Gratismuster" oder Muster mit einem Wert von vielleicht 20 EURO zu Pangolin.

Die Retourpost kann im gleichen Verfahren erfolgen.

Meine Erfahrung ist, das das problemlos funktioniert.

daran habe ich auch schon gedacht. Auch ein "Geschenk" wäre kostenlos.

ABER: Wenn die Sendung verloren geht, bekommst du auch nur den Wert ersetzt, den du angegeben hast und das Risiko eine QM2000 gegen 20 EUR zu tauschen, ist mir zu hoch.

ähm kennst du DHL?
www.dhl.de damit habe ich mal einen 200mW DPSS Laser um die welt geschickt. die wissen ja nicht, was das ist. für den zoll schreibst du warenmuster oder so rein. oder einfach irgendeine ansteuerkarte für 20 euro.
soweit ich das nämlich weiss ist die versicherung bei dhl von dem zoll getrennt. du kannst das teil also auch auf seinen (echten) wert dann versichern und würdest das geld bekommen, falls etwas damit passieren sollte.
