LD2000 version 2.50 is available

Hi freaks,

Just wanted to let you know that the latest update for LD2000 (version 2.50) is available for download from the Pangolin web site. This is a major update with the following additions:

* Latest versions of LD2000, Showtime and Autoplay with new features, enhancements and bug fixes
* A new Enhanced Reality Preview window which gives a near-perfect rendition of graphics and beams (check it out!!)
* VST2002 real time video tracing system -- a dramatic update to the award-winning VST program from MediaLas
* Winamp AVS/Laser plugin for real time interactive music visualizations
* Two new shows from the award-winning laserist Johannes Coppes
* A new show specifically designed for Live and Lasershow Performer

We have worked very hard on this update and I am sure that all users of LD2000 will enjoy the new features, programs and shows.

Hi Bill and the whole Pangolin team,

great update you did. I am testing the new features since monday and i must say that i am really impressed with the new functions you added.
I especially like the new enhanced preview, and now i am addicted to the new VST2002, watching video and tv over laser

Hello Gunnar,

Thank you for your kind words about our software, and particular, your positive words about VST2002.

VST2002 is basically a complete rework of VST2000, with only a little of the original VST code. It includes many innovations by Alexey and Valery of Uspekh, with core implementation and user interface ideas from myself.

If you are familiar with the program ViTrace, you will see a few vague similarities. Nevertheless, I think you will find that VST2002 works with far more video sources and in general is easier to use than ViTrace (or VST2000). We have also made great efforts to make it both smoother, and especially a "solid" product, meaning hard (or hopefully impossible) to crash.

Collectively, we spent nearly 3 months developing VST2002, and we are still doing a little bit of fine-tuning here and there. We are also working on the help file right now.

Since you have had success with it, can you please let us know what video capture device you are using? I want to make sure that I document the boards that work particularly well so that all users might experience the same level of joy from the product.
