Hallo!

@StingRay:
I agree with Thomas. In general, you do not get satisfactory results with autotrace programs. We have done extensive work on autotrace programs here at Pangolin, but we have not yielded results that we are satisfied with (yet).
There is one program that sounds very promising, but I do not have extensive experience with it. The program that I am talking about is called TraceIT and I believe that there are probably users with TraceIT who are on LaserFreak.net. Perhaps one of these users will allow you to send an example bitmap to them so that they can autotrace it and send you the results. If the results are satisfactory, you might consider purchasing TraceIT yourself.
At some point in the very near future, I will have a much better idea of the capabilities of TraceIT myself and I can give a better answer. In the mean time, is there anyone here who would entertain allowing StingRay to send an example bitmap for tracing?

Re: Auto-Trace von gerasterten Frames?
Hi there!
I own a licence for TraceIt and by optimising the rasterbitmap a little bit and the frame that results from auto tracing the bitmap, I get very convenient frames ... sometimes, when I’m not to tired or in a hurry.
I think this is a nice tool. I do not know the actual restrictions of the demo version but it is no problem to send a bitmap to me and get the laser-frame returned . . . as far as there are not hundreds of frames to convert
)
Just send me an email to brandner@showlaser.at and you will get back the modified bitmap and the result as an lds-file, Reinhardt.
ciao, alex.
