Pangolin Boosts Networking
Pangolin Laser Systems has significantly enhanced the network capability of its software, allowing users to easily control a virtually unlimited number of laser projectors. The network connection scheme helps to solve a variety of problems when creating large-scale projects.
“Our new implementation is the most flexible that we know of, and can be used with any TCP or Ethernet-based networking equipment, including the latest generation of wireless gear,” said Pangolin President William Benner.
The new network feature works as an “extension cord” to the PCI bus, allowing users to access QM2000 boards on any network-connected PC. There are essentially no restrictions to the number of QM2000s that can be placed in each PC on the network. The network feature is compatible with any software that works on the QM2000 board, including third party programs.
Pangolin : (+1) 407-299-2088;

Hello everyone,
Maybe I can add something here. We have a network implementation for Pangolin LD2000 system. It basically allows you to effectively replace the PCI bus with an ethernet network under TCP/IP. It allows you to have any number of QM2000 boards (up to 20 total) located anywhere on an ethernet network. This means that you can use a laptop (with no QM2000 boards) and communicate with a PC somewhere else (that has a QM2000). You may, or may not have a QM2000 in the local computer. And you can have any number of QM2000 boards in any of the computers on a network. For example, three computers, each with 3 QM2000 boards can be used to control a total of 9 scanners, and the QM2000 boards may or may not be the local computer.
This is in BETA testing right now and it works fairly well. This will be available in the next update with LD2000 system, which should be available in a few weeks.
Actually, the main holdup with the update is not features or testing but new shows and frames that we will be including. In the next update there will be 20 new laser shows (including 2 award-winning beam shows) and 20,000 new laser frames. What's more, there will be a very unexpected and big surprise coming with the next update which I promise will be fun for everyone!!
