Pango-Demo ?

Hallo Freaks,<p>gibt's eigentlich die Pango Intro Soft als Demo zum downloaden? Auf deren HP hab ich sie nicht gefunden, und bevor man soviel Geld ausgibt...<p>Danke,

Hallo,<p>die QM32 Software für die Pangokarte läuft auch ohne die Karte selber an. Es ist dir allerdings dann unmöglich, irgendwelche Sachen zu zeichnen, oder zu laden. So kannst du zwar munter durch die Menüs klicken, aber effektiv einen Nutzen hast du davon nicht. Leider!

... wenigstens kann ich dann mal den Aufbau der Bedienungsoberfläche anschauen. Das reicht mir eigentlich zum Vergleichen erst mal aus. Kann mir jemand die QM32 Soft (am liebsten Intro) mal zumailen? Wäre echt nett!! Adresse s.o. <p>Danke!

Hey Leute!<p>Ich möchte hier ja nicht Spielverderber sein, aber ich weiß nichts von einer offiziellen Demoversion des LD. Klar könnt Ihr Euch die Programme rüberkopieren und mit leeren Fenstern laufen lassen, aber ob das viel bringt bezweifle ich. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn, ich denke nicht daß sich Euer Vorhaben mit den derzeitigen Lizenzbestimmungen der Software vereinbaren läßt. Darum bitte ich Euch solche Software-Tauschgeschäfte doch per Email abzuhandeln, damit wenigstens keine Nachahmer gezüchtet werden.<p>Nicht daß man irgend etwas davon hätte, aber da gibt es bei den Lizenzen die klare Regel, daß nur mit Karte betrieben werden darf.<p>Grüße

Hhmmm, bezieht sich das auch auf Screenshots?
Wäre doch mal eine tolle Idee von Pangolin, eine Demo-Version rauszubringen. Immerhin ist das bei anderen Produkten auch möglich. Und wer kauft schon gerne die Karte im Sack (ach nee, muß "Katze im Sack "heißen) [img]images/icons/grin.gif"%20border="0[/img] [img]images/icons/grin.gif"%20border="0[/img] <p>Vielleicht sollte man das mal dem Herrn Benner von Pangolin vorschlagen....<p>gruß

Dann müßte aber erst ein Software-Emulator entwickelt werden, der das Treiben auf der Karte teilweise nachmacht.<p>Ohne Karte läßt sich glaub ich nur das Designerprogramm starten, nicht aber das Showprogramm.<p>Grüße.

Thomas hat recht.<p>Hinzu kommt, daß der Vorteil von Pangolin's LD ja gerade in der sehr guten Hardware liegt. Einen extra Emulator als Demo zu entwickeln, der viel schlchtere Leistung bringen dürfte wäre doch viel mehr Abschreckung als Kaufgrund und würde die Stärken von LD nicht im entferntesten demonstrieren! Was nutzt eine solche Demo dann, die nichts demonstriert?<p>Wer also ne echte Demo sehen will, besucht mich lieber in Berlin. [img]images/icons/smile.gif"%20border="0[/img] <p>Patrick

Hello All,<p>I will reply in English here. Please let me know if you require a German translation.<p>Patrick is correct about one thing (OK, about many things). This software, like every other software in the world, has a copyright. Fundamentally, this means that the copyright holder (in this case Pangolin) is the only company that has the right to copy, and distribute, the software. Software really should not be emailed from person to person. Like Patrick, I too hate to be crude, but if we play by the rules, those are the rules.<p>Also, the version that you are talking about emailing is the older QM32 software. There have been literally hundreds of changes in the LD2000 software so by looking at the older QM32 software, you would not get a very good idea of the current capabilities.<p>Now about the demo. LD Intro is not demo software. LD Intro is our least-expensive (but still VERY capable) software program. <p>At this time, there is no demo of Pangolin software. While I appreciate that there are demo versions of other software, I will also state that this is not true of all software, especially high-end software. For example, there is no demo version of 3D Studio MAX, or Maya, or other high-end graphics packages. Similarly, there is no demo version of DSP or LOBO software, or even LCN for that matter. <p>Believe it or not, we really do not get that much call for demo versions of the software. The fact that this is a professional product, and especially requiring the use of other hardware (lasers, scanners, etc.) are probably the reasons why.<p>Instead of a demo version, we do have a 90-day money back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the software and hardware, simply return it to the place you bought it, and they will refund your money. No other software vendor has this much confidence in their products!!!<p>In addition to this policy, we have many many dealers around the world, as well as many users around the world. These users and dealers should be within driving distance and they can demonstrte the software to you in a Live laser environment. This is much more valuable than looking at the software only on your computer screen, in isolation.<p>In the mean time, if it is screen shots and comparisons that you are after, let me direct you to a few web pages. Thanks to the dedicated processor and memory, this completely offloads the host PC for all other tasks such as full-bandwidth video and audio reproduction and many other things that are impossible with a simple DAC card that does not have a processor on board.
