Danke
Brian

haha sorry
I have a 68C supply that I have modified to run any mid-frame laser. Basically have stuck in a Diode on the anode between and bridged the power caps together. The supply runs but when the laser is ignited it goes straight to 40A. There is no regulation. I have checked all the transistors in the passbank, all seems ok. I have replaced the passbank driver board with a brand new one. I have also replaced the 311 comparator on the meditec logic card and the 741 on the current feedback. The supply still runs at 40A, feedback on the logic card was measured at 2V which = 40A. I beleive there is something wrong with some grounding or between the logic card and driver card since now when you ignite the laser there is sparking from either pins H or J, the ground on the logic card from the driver board and from the current sence resistor, then the supply still goes to 40A.
Any ideas what could be the problem? Have been trying to figure this out for almost a year, theres no help in Canada, and most companys in the states will not give out information and just say to send them supply, which will end up costing $$$$ espescially when i already payed $2500 US for this supposed to be workin unit :-S
This is one of the best online resources I have found online for lasers.
Thanks
Brian
