CO2 laser powered graphite oven

Hi,

Looking forward a high temperature micro-oven, I wonder about an isolated graphite box with a graphite target inside, heated by a 100W CO2 laser beam.

My question is :

- How the graphite reacts under such a wavelength ?

As the melting temperature of graphite is more than 3800 °C, one could perform with such a process a wonderful micro-oven for a lot of experiments !

Thanks for any advice.
