dpss tuning to 0.5W?

hi, i have green dpss module from "dreamlasers.com". the module is rated 35mW but the diode says "max 0,5w @ 500mA". is it possible to tune this diode ( and extra cooling) to 0,5w
i think that the driver can handle 500mA but can the diode do this, and what will do this regarding the life time of the diode?
please someone help me.

0,5 W is the diode´s max. infrared output power, not the output of the green laserlight. There is a frequency conversation unit containing some crystals inside a DPSS which´s conversation rate is far, far away from 100%, perhaps 10 to 20%. Actually your diode is already emitting 500mw.

If you need 0.5Watt green laser, Rumzing has 0.5Watt, qulity is accredited very good, stablity is 3%, you can contact with them,

but, if you need, I have one 700mw, that is new one, with 12 months warranty, TTL or Analogue modulation.

but if you want to get it soon, I have one 700mw, also 3% stablity, 720mw output power of green light, TTL or Analogue modulation, it has 12 months warranty.

Hello djwacko,
you can tune this DPSS with a laser diode c-mount package 1W infra red power. You need a TEC for intern cooling the unit. 1W/808nm is the maximum power for your crystal combination.
Your maximal output power is 200mW/532nm. Your driver unit is only for 500mW laser diode. Maximal current is only 800mA! You need a driver with 1,4A current and TEC control.
For higher output power you need beam shaping and 2W/808nm with other crystals!

yes, you need change a new diode, 808nm, 2Watt, 1.1A current. then, maybe can get 500mw 532nm power.

Hello,
you can not tune any dpss that is build for 35mW 532nm to 500mW 532nm.
You have to think about thermal lense and cooling. If the resonator
is to sensitive for thermal lenses, the power will drop at high pump power.
Sometimes it helps if you adjust the laserresonator and also try to get more
pump power into the laser cavity mode. I think that it is possible to get 100mW from a laser that was made for 35mW if it has descret crystals
inside.
