Halli Hallo

What you mean is made with SolidState-lasers.
The most easy way is to take the 1064nm line from a ND:YAG or ND:YvO4 root and convert ist with a KTP to 532nm (green).

All green laserpointers do it this way.

Best for you to find a good english description is to search the internet for: DPSS (Diode Pumped Solid State).

Halli Hallo

99 percent of the pointers are using combined crystals, says, lasercrystal and KTP are fixed together with a special glue.
