Liebe freunde!
Look please comparing of PCI and USB card:
PCI card have two DMX out and one DMX in (isolated), USB have one out and one in (no isolated).
PCI card have control from music, USB - no.
PCI card have Z DAC, USB - no.
Maximal size of cadr in PCI card is 16 000 points, in USB - 4 000 points.
In both (PCI and USB) cards is used 12-bit DACs for X&Y, and 8-bit DACs for Intens/colors/shutter.
I was very surprized after Gento's replie about 8-bit data on X&Y

why LDS should send 8-bites data, when we have 12-bites DACs?
And more, internal format these data in LDS software - 16-bit!
Don't mixed please different concepts: resolution of DACs, RAM format, data bus of interface chip , type of channel for transfer data (serial - parallel)...
You are not surprised, that by two wires of LAN you can send data in any format? Why you are surprised, that we by USB line, 8-bit interface chip and 8-bit RAM can work with 12-bit DACs?
About scanrate:
Both cards can translate data from card to DACs with scanrate 200 000 PPS.
It means, that you can send to both type of cards frame with command for translation this frame using scanrate up to 200 000 PPS (we garantee executing this scanrate)!
Different is in speed writing data from computer to card:
- for PCI card it operation is very fast, and we don't have any delay;
- USB channel in our cards can provide up to ~7,1 MBit data stream (it is no theoretical, this is really speed!!!).
Why we declare PPS 55 000? We can guarantee translation in real-time (without delay), frame-by-frame, 55 000 PPS (with 16-bytes structure of point) or 110 000 PPS (with 8-bytes structure of point). I think, it is absolutely enough for galvo, which is now.
You could projecting frame on USB with PPS up to 200 000 but because of transfer speed PC -> USB follow frame comming with delay needet for transfer data to USB. In this case before projecting new frame previuos frame could projecting some times.
And about Gento's question:
- Gibt es einen neuen Driver der Riya PCI fur Delphi 7 Softer, der nicht absturzt ?
Or I bad understand Deutsh (sorry...), or here is mixed different concepts too:
We provide drivers for Operation System Win98, 2000, XP and Linux but not for Delphi!!!!!!!!
We also provide some examples with source code that demostrate work with devices via our SDK for C++ (this sample is universal and could be used in Visual C++ 6 and 7 and Borland C++ ) and Delphi (5,6,7). Also is example for linux for gcc.
Our Free SDK is also described interface of dll and this interface could be used for implement work with our devices in any program languages than has posibility work with DLL.
If you have some question - write please!!
